1916-D 10C Mercury Dime PCGS XF45. One of the “key-dates” to the series and certainly the most sought-after issue to those attempting to complete date and mint sets. The 1916-D mercury dime is also one of the coins used to determine the PCGS CU3000 Key Dates and Rarities Index. The present example has acquired some attractive album toning over the years, or at least prior to it being certified and encased in this PCGS holder. The mintmark “D” is very distinct and the bands are clear but not quite separate.
