1928 $20 Saint-Gaudens PCGS MS66 CAC. This is exactly the way we wish most $20 Saints looked! The fields have a lush and golden velvet look to them without any visible imperfections. According to the PCGS Museum of Holders, it looks as though this specimen was encapsulated between 1990 and 1993. CAC has endorsed 292 of these 1928’s in MS66 with 23 finer (all 67’s) out of an entire PCGS population of 3,052 coins (10%?). Because it’s so difficult to acquire CAC endorsed Saints there is a very good reason they bring such strong prices at auction. We note the last CAC to sell realized $3,760 in September.
