1776-1976 Libertas Americana Silver Medal Copy of Original Design, 76mm, PCGS MS64. Just like the original! The obverse depicts LIBERTAS. AMERICANA., head of Liberty left, with flowing hair, staff and Phrygian cap behind, in exergue is 4 JUIL. 1976. The reverse depicts Minerva (representing France) and holding a shield with the French Royal “fleur de lys“, defending the infant Hercules representing the American Nation, holding a serpent in each hand, from the British Lion, legend NON SINE DIIS ANIMOSUS INFANS, in exergue is 4 JUIL. 1776. PCGS graded Mint State-64. If this was a real silver Libertas Americana medal, it would have a value of easily $250,000 in this grade!
