Netherlands – 1928 1 Gold Ducat PCGS MS62




The Netherlands has issued a large variety of different gold coins, of different weight and sizes. The Ducat featuring the striding knight with sword leaning on shoulder was struck in one year only, 1928. The issue has an original mintage of 572,000 pieces all struck at the Utrecht Mint. Gold content .1106/oz.

Interestingly, Heritage Auctions offered a similar non-certified example described as “UNC” which realized $705 in their World coin auction January 2013. It was cataloged as follows:
