Product Description

Formerly appearing in the Heritage 2008 West Palm Beach Summer F.U.N. show (AS PCGS AU53 – which is what we grade this coin out of the holder) as lot number 2105 and described as:

1803 $10 Small Stars Reverse AU53 PCGS. Breen-6844, Taraszka-28, BD-3, R.4. Substantial luster shimmers across this lightly circulated and pleasing Heraldic Eagle ten. Wear is difficult to detect on the reverse, and obverse friction is limited to the hair over the ear and the upper fold of the cap. Even the aid of a loupe fails to locate consequential marks, and the strike is precise aside from blending on the bust tip and opposite on the upper left clouds and stars. Moderately clashed on the field above the eagle, but the dies are otherwise perfect. Certified in an old green label holder. Considerably scarcer than the 1801, but similarly priced.
